‏Shamsi Fadhu’llahi

Shamsi Fazlullahi (b. 1937), actress. Theatrical performances from 1957 under the name of Shahrzad performing in Dukhtar-i Irani (Iranian Girl) at the Tafakkuri Theater. Her main performances include: Tafrihat-i Nimashab (Mid-Night Recreations); Arshin Malalan; Duzd-i Tabaqa-yi Awwal (First Floor Thief); Guldasta (Minaret); Becket 5; Bazi-yi Biharf Shumara-yi Yik (Silent Play Number One); Sandali ra Kinar-i Panjara Biguzarim wa Binshinim wa bih Shab-i Daraz-i Tarik-i Khamush-i Sard-i Biyaban Nigah Kunim (Let’s place the chair by the window, sit down, and loot at the long, silent, and cold night of the desert); Dar Quzabad (In Quzabad); Tabaqa-yi Shishum (Sixth Floor); Tishnigi wa Gurusnigi (Thirst and Hunger); Wis va Ramin. She served as an announcer on the Air Force Radio from 1962, performing on the radio play series Yik Shaba z Hizar u Yik Shab (One Night of the Arabian Nights). Her activities further include working at Radio Iran from 1964, subbing from 1964, film actress from 1958 first appearing in Qasid-i Bihisht (Messenger of Paradise). The films in which she played include: Asimun Jul (Down and Out; 1959); Shans wa ‘Ishq wa Tasaduf (Chance, Love, and Coincidence; 1959); ‘Asal-i Talkh (Bitter Honey; 1961); Kilid (Key; 1962); Farar (Escape; 1963); Shir-i Sangi (Stone Lion; 1986). She also performed in the TV series Amir Kabir (1986).
