‏Mishkin

Mishkin, Akbar (1925-1978)

Theater and cinema actor and announcer on Radio Tehran during the years 1945-1977. He was a genius in a number of artistic domains ranging from acting to writing dramas and music. Numerous private recordings, both audio and visual, of his work are available. His voice is heard on a number of Barg-i sabz and Yik shakhih gol programmes aired from 1945-1965. He was well-versed in music and in performance on the piano and his voice appreciated by many of the prominent masters of Persian music. Nonetheless, his performance on the Golha was only occasional and honorary rather than regular and professional. No independent work of his has been released.
