Sabit Baktiyari

Thabit Bukhara’i (seventeenth century), a poet at the court of the Uzbek ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Khan. The author of al-Dhari’a states, ‘He is seemingly Thaqib Bukhari. The following couplet is by him:

I set foot in the perilous sea of love and at last

I got my gird from the waves, helmet from the bubles.
