Sayir Mashadi

Sayir Mashhadi (fl. 17th century), a calligrapher and poet with the appellation Sayir. Hailing from Mashhad, he settled in Isfahan. He was a well-known poet under the Safavid Shah Sulayman. He wrote the Nasta’liq script in an elegant hand, devoting his time mainly to copying books. His autograph copy of his divan is extent.
