Shahaki

Shahaki Qumi (fl. 16th century), a poet hailing from Qum and a resident of the city of Rayy. The following couplet is by him:

Sometime has elapsed since I was separated from the face of my beloved,

Ah! What may I say about the manner of my distress.

Shahaki Isfahani (fl. 16th century), a poet hailing from the village of Rehnan, Isfahan. The following couplet is by him:

Play, o musician! That my beloved of cypress stature,

Dances and witnesses my self-sacrifices.
