Saghir Isfahani

Saghir Isfahani, Muhammad Husayn (1894/1895-1960), son of Asad Allah. A Sufi and poet with the nom de plume Saghir. He was born in Isfahan and earned a living by weaving. A member of the Shayda Literary Society, he remained a companion of Shayda to the latter’s last days. He presided over the Kamal Literary Society for a while. He studied under Mirza ‘Abbas Sabir ‘Ali Shah for some time and died in Isfahan. His works include his Divan and further poetical compositions, e.g. Widad-i Bashar; Musibatnama; Faza’il al-A’imma; Khutbat al-Ghadir.
