‘Unvan Tabrizi
Chalabi, Muhammad Riza ibn Hajj Salih (fl. 17th century), a poet with nom de plume ‘Unvan, who visited the author of Tadhkira-yi Nasrabadi in Mashhad. He associated with the governor of Qandahar late in life and died there. The following couplets are by him:
My soul burns by the flame arising from grieving heart,
The similitude of which is the fire cast from dried bushes on them.
I’ll stumble if I pick the thorn that has pierced the foot,
Since once separated from the root, the newly planted tree will be cast on dust.
