Abtin Ijlali

1935-1980)

Ijlali, Abtin (1935-1980). Tumbak instrumentalist and a student of Husayn Tehrani. He made his debut in the orchestras of the Ministry of Fine Arts, the Ministry of Culture and Art, and National Iranian Radio and Television in 1959. Numerous radio and television programmes made with recordings of his performances in these various orchestras. He is famed for his accompaniment of Simin Aqa Razi (1938-2009), the talented Qanun instrumentalist in the album entitled Qanun (Iran Seda, Tehran 1993).
