Latifi Bukhara’i

Latifi Bukhara’i, Mawlana ‘Abd al-Latif (second half of the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth centuries), son of Muhammad Isma’il. Afghan poet who edited Habibi’s Yusuf wa Zulaykha at the suggestion of a friend on a journey to Peshawar. Then, he composed Layla wa Majnun in 1933 in the meter of hazaj musaddas maqsur in 6,000 couplets. In his introduction to this poetical composition, he has made mention of his other works, Masihnama; Taklifnama; and Maqsudnama. His divan of poetry and some treatises by him are extant.

Danishnama-yi Adab-i Farsi, Adab-i Farsi dar Afghanistan (3/ 851).

لطیفی بخارایی، مولانا عبداللطیف فرزند محمداسماعیل (نیمۀ دوم قرن نوزدهم و نیمۀ اول قرن بیستم میلادی) شاعر افغانستانی در سفری به پیشاور به پیشنهاد دوستی، داستان یوسف و زلیخا اثر حبیبی را تصحیح کرد. سپس در ۱۹۳۳ م لیلی و مجنون را در بحر هزج مسدس مقصور در ۶۰۰۰ بیت به نظم درآورد. وی در پیش‌گفتار این منظومه از دیگر آثار خود با نام‌های مسیح‌نامه؛ تکلیف‌نامه و مقصودنامه یاد می‌کند. از لطیفی چند رساله و دیوان شعری هم بر جای مانده است.
