Mustafa Sarkhush

Sarkhus, Mustafa, son of Yahya Sarkhush Tafrishi. His father was a distinguished poet in late Qajar reign. Mustafa is a contemporary patriotic and passionate poet. Having received his primary and secondary education in Iran, he studied agriculture in Germany and conducted research there for 12 years. He married in Germany, but finally returned to Iran and found employment at the Ministry of Agriculture. He abandoned his ministerial office after a while and owing to his affection for Persian literature, similar to his family members, and also his talents and erudition, he began teaching at the Alburz High School and continued his teaching career to 1978. He attended the sessions held by literary societies in Tehran, like the Gawhar Literary Society. His works include Zaban-i Ashk, including the appealing poetical compositions Piyk-i Mihr, Tisfun, and Atash-i Dil.
