Iranian Radio & Television National Orchestra conducted by Farhad Fakhruddini

The orchestra was formed after 1972 when Iran's Radio and Television organizations merged. Earlier conductors of the orchestra were Murtaza Hannaneh and Fereydun Nasiri, former conductors of the Farabi Orchestra. Farhad Fakhroddini assumed full time responsibility of the orchestra later on and served as its conductor until 1980. A large number of compositions by earlier and contemporaneous classical composers were performed by the orchestra and it followed the Gulha Orchestra in terms of composition, sounding, and artistic taste.
