Ardistani, Jamali

Ardistani, Jamali, Pir Jamaluddin-i Ardistani, Jamaluddin  Fazlullah, Ahmad (d. 1474), A mystic, author, and poet with the nom de plume Jamali, well-known as Pir Jamali and Jamali, from  Ardistan near Isfahan. He was a distinguished mystic in the time of Shahrukh Mirza, son of Tiymur Gurkani. He founded the Sufi order of Pir Jamaliyya and wrote many books in prose and verse, including: Ahkam al-Muhibbin (Rules of Lovers); Istiqamat-nama (Book of Fortitude); Bidayat al-Mahabba (Beginning of Love); Divan-i Shi'r (Divan of poetry); Mathnavi-yi Nazir va Manzur (Mathnavi of the Seer and the Seen); Ruh al-Qudus (The Holy Spirit); Kashf al-Arwah (Discovery of the Souls); Ma'lumat (Knowledge).
