‘Iffat Qajar

‘Iffat Qajar, Humayun Sultan Khanum (fl. nineteenth century), daughter of the Qajar Fath’ali Shah. A mystic, calligrapher, and poet, bearing the nom de plume ‘Iffat and the title Navab Muta’aliyya, and well-known as Khanum Khanuman. She had learned astronomy and Arabic and wrote Nasta’li and Shikasta with an elegant hand. She was mainly interested in Rumi and followed his style in her mathnawi.
